Managed databases
The database is the easy part.
Managed databases on our own infrastructure in India, sold as slot packs: ₹99/mo for 2 databases, ₹299 for 6, ₹799 for 16. Buy another plan any time and the slots add up. Credentials and backups live in your console.
Engines
Eight engines. One workflow.
Stock engines, standard protocols and the client tools you already use. Pick per project — the console, billing and support stay the same.
Every engine is stock and every deployment draws one slot from your plan balance — deploy from the console, any time, at no extra charge.
Why managed
Provisioned, not babysat
The parts nobody enjoys — patching, access control, backup plumbing — are ours. The schema, the queries and the data are yours.
Live in about a minute
Buy a plan, pick an engine, deploy. Each database draws one slot from your balance and is provisioned automatically — no ticket queue, no waiting for a human to run a script.
Eight engines, one workflow
Relational, document, cache, columnar. Swap engines between projects without learning a second platform or a second bill.
Internal-first networking
Apps on Zoophost reach the database over the internal connection string, so it doesn't need a public port. When you do need outside access, the external URI and port are right there.
Backups, on your terms
Create a backup from the console before a migration or a schema change, and see every backup you've taken in one list.
Credentials you can actually see
Internal and external URIs, host, port, user and password — all in one panel, revealed and copied in a click. Never a support ticket.
Resources per database
Each slot brings the vCPU and RAM of the plan it came from, applied to that instance alone. Want a bigger engine? Deploy it from a bigger plan.

₹99 for 2 databases, ₹299 for 6, ₹799 for 16 — monthly, INR, on the same invoice as the rest of your stack. Deploying a database never takes a separate payment.

Everything in one panel
Credentials, not a scavenger hunt.
The moment your database is up, the connection strings are in Zoop Console next to its health, backups and lifecycle controls. Copy a URI into your app and keep building.
- Internal and external connection strings, ready to paste
- Reveal and copy the generated password at any time
- Restart the instance after a config change
- Create an on-demand backup and review the history
- Delete the database and stop billing when you're done
App and database, same platform
Run the containers on cloud hosting and point them at the internal URI — traffic never leaves our network.
Workloads
What teams run here
SaaS and API backends
PostgreSQL or MySQL for the app's source of truth — with an internal URI your containers can use without exposing the database to the internet.
Caching, queues and sessions
Redis, Dragonfly or KeyDB for the hot path: sessions, rate limits, job queues and cache layers that need sub-millisecond reads.
Analytics and event data
ClickHouse for the dashboards and clickstream tables that would make a row-store cry — scan billions of rows without a warehouse contract.
Document and catalogue data
MongoDB for product catalogues, content and flexible schemas where the shape of the record keeps moving.
Built to stay up
Monitored infrastructure, engineers who run it.

Database questions
Before you pick an engine
What is a database slot?
One database instance. The ₹99 plan holds two, ₹299 holds six and ₹799 holds sixteen, and multiple plans add up on the same workspace — so ₹99 + ₹299 gives you eight. Each deployment uses one slot; deleting a database frees it again.
Which engines can I run?
PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse, Dragonfly and KeyDB. If your code already speaks one of them, it works here unchanged — the engine is stock, not a proprietary fork.
Can I connect from my laptop?
Databases with a public endpoint show an external connection string and port for pgAdmin, TablePlus, DBeaver, mongosh or redis-cli. If yours is internal-only, ask us to publish the port. For apps on Zoophost, the internal string is faster and keeps traffic off the public internet.
How do backups work?
You create backups on demand from Zoop Console — before a migration or a risky schema change — and see the full history in the database panel. No cron job to write, no bucket of your own to babysit.
Can I change my plan later?
Plans add up rather than replace each other: buy another plan and its databases join the same balance, so a 2-slot plan plus a 6-slot plan gives you eight. To retire a plan, talk to us — we'll move its databases first so nothing goes down.
Do I get SSH or root on the database server?
No. You get database credentials and full control of your data, not the host. That's the trade for managed infrastructure: no kernel patching, no tuning the OS, no 3 a.m. disk alerts.
Where does my data live, and how am I billed?
On managed infrastructure we operate in India, billed monthly in INR on the same invoice as your apps, servers and domains. You pay for the plan slot pack; deploying a database from it costs nothing extra.
